Great Tit (Koolmees) and Blue Tit (Pimpelmees): both common in Holland year around. Busy birds, not shy. Blue Tit is a beautiful adn ideal bird for practicing photography, camera settings, etcetera.

Bearded Tit (Baardman): common in Holland, mostly in vast reed beds. Rather shy, often in small groups.

Tree Sparrow (Ringmus): common in Holland.

Willow Tit (Matkop): common in Holland. Minimal difference in looks this species and qqq (Glanskop).

Long-tailed Tit (Staartmees): common in Holland. Righteously called “long-tailed”. In summer after breeding pften in families or groups easily recognised when making their particular “thee-thee-thee” and “brrr brrr” sounds.

Bullfinch (Goudvink): Mainly present in Holland eating small fruit like qqq bramen and bessen. Rather shy bird.

Chaffinch (Tjiftjaf): common bird in Holland, migrating south in winter. Sound obvious. Appearance modest. Difficult to see difference between Chaffinch and also common species Willow Warbler (Fitis). In Holland this problem is cleverly solved by using theio shared species name “Fietjaf”.

Scarlet Rosefinch (Roodmus): Rare in Holland. Photographed in Holland and Poland. According to some birders it singss something like “Please to meet you …”
